The Macrosystems Ecology For All Network (MEFA) facilitates the creation of collaborative projects that include five components:
- a focus on macrosystems ecology,
- the integration of environmental datasets,
- a written Collaboration Plan,
- involvement/engagement of undergraduate students, and
- community engagement as appropriate for the project (optional).
All projects start as Incubator Projects. Once the project team has developed a plan for addressing all the components above, a short proposal is submitted to the MEFA Network Management Team and the project advances to become a full MEFA Project. Work then continues to realize the scientific and educational goals of the project.
Current MEFA Projects
- Macrosystems Ecology For All Campuses
- MEFA Invasive Species Productivity
- Filtering Urban Pollinator Biodiversity and Restoration
Six additional projects are continuing to develop in the Incubator phase.
If you want more information about these projects, please send an email to mefanetwork@gmail.com.
This project is supported by the National Science Foundation (DEB #2213541).
