Announcing EREN-NEON Flexible Learning Projects for Fall 2020!

June 11, 2021EREN is pleased to announce that we have received funding from the National Science Foundation (Grant No. DBI-2037827) to support a partnership with the National Ecological Observatory Network (NEON) to develop Flexible Learning Projects that engage students in authentic, collaborative ecological research through either in person or online/socially distant learning.
Projects will be developed using the EREN model of promoting hands-on, coordinated data collection by undergraduate students across multiple sites but will include opportunities to link with and compare local datasets to NEON’s continental scale datasets. Student data collection can be done in natural areas, on campuses, in local parks, or in backyards in both urban and rural areas.
Four projects are under development and will be introduced in free, one hour, live-captioned webinars during the week of August 10. You are invited to attend one or more webinars to learn more about the projects and how to carry them out. The schedule and a registration link appear below. Webinars will be recorded and archived on this site for future viewing.
